Elizabeth Holmes, founder and CEO of Theranos, has been banned from operating labs for 2 years. In 2015, the government began to scrutinize the company after experts found that the results of the blood tests were inaccurate. Theranos was the exclusive lab used at Walgreen’s clinic and as a result of these investigations, lost their contract with the drug store chain.
