Toxic algae bloom blankets Florida beaches

A toxic algae bloom has a swath of Florida’s east coast beaches creating a devastating economic impact.  One town in particular stated that it is 100% dependent on tourism and that the bloom has caused a normally bustling beach down to have empty beaches and restaurants.  Governor Rick Scott has declared a state of emergency in some counties and the source of the outbreaks is said to be fertilizer sewage and manure pollution that the state had failed to properly regulate.
