Last week, Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy announced that Connecticut-based health insurer, Aetna, is establishing its captive insurance company in its home state. Aetna previously had captive insurance operations in Bermuda, making this homecoming particularly exciting. This marks Connecticut’s fifth licensed and largest captive insurer to date.
