Avocados are in high demand making supplies low and prices double. Hormel Foods, owner of Wholly Guacamole, is monitoring the recent avocado shortage to minimize potential business interruptions. Del Taco and El Torito Mexican restaurant chains ran out of guacamole briefly in their Los Angeles locations last week.
